Prior to this summer season which kick-started in March, leading actress Samantha had six one million dollar movies in overseas to her credit and all of them were from her Telugu movies only. However, Sam scored her first Tamil one million dollar movie with Vijay’s Theri in April.
Sam immediately scored her second one million dollar Tamil film with Suriya’s 24, within a gap of just one month. And just a couple of weeks later, Sam scored has 7th one million dollar Telugu movie in the form of Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam.
Yesterday, Sam’s latest summer hit, Trivikram’s A..Aa, too crossed the one million dollar mark in overseas. With this, Samantha has scripted a memorable chapter in her career by scoring 10 one million dollar movies in the US.
Sam achieved this rare feat with her movie like Eega, Dookudu, Atharintiki Dharedi, SVSC, Manam, S/O Satyamurthy, Brahmotsavam and A..Aa.
Sam can now be termed as the undisputed million dollar baby as her record will take a long time to be broken by any other Indian actress, including the leading Bollywood actresses.
