    'Khiladi No 1' Akshay Kumar, who is touted to be one of the most successful Bollywood stars, has a body of work that speaks volumes about his talent. From doing action films, winning hearts with his comic timings, starring in thrillers to romancing heroines and dancing to some iconic tracks, there's not a genre that Akshay hasn't explored and mastered. One can say that his career has had a fine combination of exceptional stories and box-office hits. However, before Akshay entered the film industry, he worked as a chef and waiter in Bangkok and earned Rs 1500, as per a report in Filmfare. Currently, Akshay is one of the highest-paid actors in B-town and as per a 2020 report in Hindustan Times, he recently charged a fee of Rs 120 crore for Aanand L Rai's next directorial.

Amitabh Bachchan

    Before Amitabh Bachchan became the Hindi film icon that he is today, the megastar worked in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) for the shipping firm Shaw & Wallace as an executive and as a freight broker for Bird and Co. and his first salary was Rs 500, as per a Times of India report. Currently, the actor gets a paycheck between Rs 18-20 crore per project, per Freepress Journal.


Aamir Khan

        'Mr Perfectionist' Aamir Khan charges a minimum of Rs 50 crore per movie plus production, according to a 2017 report in India Today but his first paycheck was Rs 11,000. Talking about it he had told IANS, "I was paid 11,000 rupees for my first film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak."


Priyanka Chopra

        Priyanka Chopra's success story is truly inspirational. From winning the Miss World crown, making her own in Mumbai to now being an international icon, Priyanka Chopra sure has come a long way. Back in 2000, when PeeCee won the Miss World title, she made Rs 5000 from her first assignment, according to a report in Filmfare. As for what she charges now? Priyanka Chopra charges up to Rs 1.80 crores for a post on Instagram for brand promotion, as per NDTV and Rs 22 crores for a movie, according to a report in Dailyhunt.
