The two Dalit girls are being cremated at a little distance away from their home at the Unnao village in the presence of the family members of both the deceased girls.

The father of one of the girls got unconscious when the body of his daughter was brought out. Police took him to the hospital.

Police have said they are conducting combing an operation to recover evidence from the site where the three girls were found lying unconscious on Thursday. While two girls died at the hospital the third one is critical and undergoing medical treatment at a Kanpur hospital.

Meanwhile, a dog squad is conducting searches on the entire route on which the girls travelled from home to go to the farms.

DGP HC Awasthi said, "The third victim is being treated in Kanpur Nagar and her condition is critical but stable. It has been declared a suspected case of poisoning. The deceased girls' post-mortem revealed no external injury. The cause of death has not been ascertained and the viscera has been preserved for chemical analysis."

Police on Thursday registered a case of murder in connection with the deaths of the two teenage girls whose bodies were found in a field in Unnao even as a post-mortem revealed no injury marks.

A team of six doctors is looking into the case of the third survivor who is admitted at a Kanpur hospital. Poison has been found on all three girls and police are investigating all angles in the case and suspected foul play.
